A familiar face, e uma semana louca!

Oi gente!

Josemar's house
This week was pretty crazy. Elder Nhamitambo and I had a bit of a learning curve together, but I was starting to get to know him and be his friend. We taught a few new people and had some cool miracles. Eli, a recent convert, finally got back from Lubanga with her family, and her mom wants us to teach her and her sons, so that should be awesome this week. We also were able to set a baptismal date for our friend Constantino for March 28th! Seeing Constantino progress has been so cool, he's always super excited to see us, the only problem is him reading the Book of Mormon when we aren't there, he has a testimony but doing the small and simple things are what will help us the most throughout our lives.

At district council, Elder Korsten had us take pictures for his signing day to play college basketball (it was for Phoenix junior college, but he hopes to play there, then transfer to a bigger college, like BYU or UVU. Only Americans know what any of that means, so it was pretty funny trying to explain it all, but we got some nice pictures.
Shoes and a Book of Mormon someone gave to us

Riding on the bus, hot and humid
During the week, Elder Nhamitambo started feeling a little sick, so we had to go to the doctor. One taxi of maybe 30 cents and we went all the way to the middle of the city! Sadly, he'll have to have a small surgery, but they said he just needs to rest a few days and he'll be fine. Something crazy happened the next day, he got sent to another area to rest for a bit where another Elder is resting, and... Elder Gordon is my new companion for the next few days!!! I don't know if you all remember him, but he was my companion in the MTC, so being companions again is super awesome.

On the day we switched companions, we had to drive HOURs to Elder Gordon's area, we got hotdogs on the way, so that was pretty sweet. Elder Gordon's area in Sekele is hours of apartments, and we got to see a lot of Luanda driving around so that was really cool. Later, back in Patriota with Elder Gordon, we went to our weekly English class, only to find that our ward was having a dance for the teenagers, that was pretty funny, but we decided to visit people instead of dancing, maybe after the mission ha-ha.
On Sunday I gave a talk at church on missionary work. I shared a little from a talk from Elder David A. Bednar, on how the best way to prepare for a mission is to be a missionary before the mission. He also talked about how all members can be missionaries throughout their lives. Although this mission is for two years, the gospel of Jesus Christ has blessed my entire life so much and will continue to bless me as I keep God's commandments and help others. I know that I am doing the Lord's work here in Angola and that this church is true. How grateful I am for my God's love for me and all his children, and my opportunity to serve them! I invite all of you to invite God into your life, and to note the changes that happen because of it.

Eu amo Voces!

2 Nephi 32And now, my beloved brethren, I perceive that ye ponder still in your hearts; and it grieveth me that I must speak concerning this thing. For if ye would hearken unto the aSpirit which teacheth a man to bprayye would know that ye must cpray; for the devil spirit teacheth not a man to pray, but teacheth him that he must not pray.
But behold, I say unto you that ye must apray always, and not faint; that ye must not perform any thing unto the Lord save in the first place ye shall bpray unto the Father in the cname of Christ, that he will dconsecrate thy performance unto thee, that thy performance may be for the ewelfare of thy soul.

I know the Lord wants to bless us in all we do but we must pray and involve Him in our lives in all things and the blessings and guidance will overflow in our lives.
