Ser grato - Happy Thanksgiving

Oi pessoal!

It’s beginning to look
 a lot like Christmas
Snowed 6 inches

It's been a bit, so I'll try and condense everything.

Some miracles we've seen: Elder Jex and I received a few referrals that we were able to teach. We taught Raul about Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for us and were able to give him a Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ, to read. Sadly, he doesn't live in our area, but we were able to pass him on to some other Elders to continue teaching about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Another person that we were able to teach is Ted. Besides Ted's normal job, he also volunteers a lot and teaches others about the Declaration of Independence, the constitution, and other founding documents of this great country. He has been taught by missionaries for some time and already knows a lot. We had a wonderful time teaching him and being taught by him as well. It's been a long time since my last government class, so talking with him was a great refresher.

Delicious dinner a treat from the lady we moved

With some of our service, we were able to clean some local parks, and do a little painting as well. Thankfully it was mostly staining benches, so I didn't have anything too important to mess up.

We were able to help a lady move that we helped before. That was the most boxes I've ever had to carry at once, at least I'm getting a workout somewhere.

Our Prophet, Russell M. Nelson
the mound of boxes
, shared a message the other day about giving thanks and showing our gratitude. In the past I remember challenges to take breaks from social media, but this time he challenged us to make social media a positive experience, to post something we're grateful for. I invite all of you to post things that you're grateful in your life, and to try and focus on the positive aspects of social media.

Even though we as missionaries don't use much media, it's still very easy to see the ways that social media impacts our thoughts negatively, causing lots of anger and division along with comparison.

I know that if we focus on the positive and good things along with what we are grateful for, we can share those  through social media and it will be a joy for us and for those we interact with.

Amo cada um de voces! Ate mais!
