The misadventures of Elder Madsen continue- or Snow days - visit to Zapata frozen water fall

Oi
gente!
I'll be quick with this one.
Even in the Valley where most people are members, there's still things to do. We're trying to teach the people we play basketball with, which is an absolute blast. I think I've gained enough of their respect, because when I asked if we could share a message, they all started kneeling for a prayer, which wasn't necessary at the moment, but I definitely appreciate it.
You may be wondering why this email has this title. Well, for pday, we went with the other Elders in our district to Zapata falls, a frozen waterfall in our area. We got some awesome pictures and found a patch of ice to "surf" on. Of course, I was the one to wipe out the worst, so hopefully you can see the video of it and get a good laugh. Even though I fell on snow covered ice, I didn't hurt anything, so that's a minor miracle, my guardian Angels are probably shaking their heads at most of the things I do.
At church this week, we
had a testimony meeting, where members can get up and share their testimonies
of the things they know to be true to the rest of the congregation. Being in
the middle of nowhere, many of these people don't appreciate the restrictions
we have but hearing them talk about how it is so much more important to put our
pride aside and be obedient, especially to the Lord was amazing. God knows that
we will make mistakes, but as we strive to follow his commandments, he will
welcome us with open arms and bless us more than we ever thought he
could.
