Going home

Well familia, it would seem that my time as a missionary has come to an end. There are so many things I want to say, but first I want to say thank you! Thank you for all your support, your prayers, your advice, and your love. Thank you for actually reading my emails! I never thought these things could have an impact, but I've been lucky to have this opportunity to share my testimony with you all regularly.    I have loved being a missionary so very much, it's hard to put it into words. I have grown so much closer to my Heavenly Father; more than I ever thought I could have. I've grown so much closer to my Savior Jesus Christ. Sharing his gospel and seeing its life changing effect on others has been one of the greatest joys in my life. I have seen many people come unto Christ and made so many friends that I would have thought unlikely before this experience. Moving missions and going home and back out again was a great trial, but I'm so thankful for the trials that...

The best 2 years

Well familia, my time as a missionary is coming to a close, don't worry though, I still have one more email to write after this.   I'll definitely miss Elder Egbert and all the wonderful missionaries here, and I'll miss Pueblo a lot, no matter how crazy it can be. I've made a lot of great friends, and I've loved seeing them progress and find joy in Jesus Christ.   We had a miracle the other day. We received a call from some of the Sister missionaries near us to tell us that they were teaching someone in our area! Because she lives in area, we have the privilege to teach her. Her name is Zaneta. Zaneta is super excited to meet with us and wants to be baptized soon! She has gone through and is going through so much, it makes me sad, but also so happy to see the things she is willing to do to come unto her Savior, even when it would be easier to just focus on herself and her kids only.    The other day, a man living in our apartment complex fell over and co...

The Big Update

Image
Oi pessoal! Sorry it's been so long. We usually go over to the other Elders apartment and have some fun on pdays, so I've been pretty bad about writing emails, but I'll be better, I only have a few more to write anyway.  Pueblo has been awesome, the other missionaries I'm serving with and I have really become a band of brothers. It's awesome being able to joke and laugh with these Elders, and to also be able to help each other focus on the most important things in life, and help others find those things as well. The area I'm in is pretty small, we share the area with 2 other Elders. They have a much bigger portion, so they have the car, but even with the small population, we've been able to find some really cool people to teach. Sometimes as a missionary, it may feel as though everyone wants to tell you their problems, but the more I learn, the more I just want to share God's love for these people. Knowing that we have a Father in Heaven who has a plan ...

Pueblo!!

Sorry for the delay in sending out Fletcher’s email. Goat in the kitchen Oi gente! Sorry it's been so long, I need to get back in the habit of writing these every week, I don't have a lot of them left.  I was sad to leave the valley, but Pueblo has been awesome. My new companion is Elder Egbert, and surprise surprise, he's also from Saint George Utah! That's now 3 out of my last 4 companions that have been from there. I keep managing to be companions with all the tall Elders in the mission, but it makes basketball more fun, even if I'll still be the short one.  There's lots to do in Pueblo! There are so many wonderful people here, also a bunch of interesting people, but that just makes it even more fun to talk to the people of Pueblo. We're teaching a few awesome people. Sam if one of them, I was able to help him set a date for baptism when I first got here, and he's very committed to preparing himself to be baptized. Hearing the heartfelt prayers from...
