Smokescreen Snow days

Oi pessoal!

Transfers happened again, and I lucked out, so I'll be staying here in Castle Rock a little bit longer. Sadly, Elder Armstrong was transferred, all the way down to the bottom of our mission boundaries in Raton, New Mexico. My new companion, Elder Jex, was in that area before coming here, so I'm sure he'll be glad for the change. Elder Jex is from Arizona and has 5 sisters.

The weather here had been pretty crazy. Lots of smoke because of fires so we don't go outside all that often. For a few days though, the temperatures dropped from 80s to 30s and we got a little bit of snow. Another missionary dropped off a sled at our place, so we were able to sled ok a hill near our apartment for a little bit. Neither of us thought to bring gloves, so after crashing a few times, we decided that frostbite wasn't worth it, so we went back inside. Thankfully we got almost all the wipeouts on camera, you're welcome.

I love the members in our ward so much. For a few weeks, we weren't getting fed by our ward as much, which isn't that big of a deal to us since we have plenty of food, but the members always make sure we're taken care of. One member asked us if she could give us a little something and if there was anything we needed. Little did we know, she had about 5 bags of food waiting for us. Seeing how these members treat us as their neighbors makes me so glad to be here and to have the chance to help these people and their friends. Christlike love can be shown in many ways, sacrificing our time for others, or giving back to our community and those we love.

In Matthew 25:40, Christ says, "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me". How much more kind, more accepting, more forgiving would we be of others if we saw them as Christ? How would we treat them if we saw them through his eyes? In today's world that may be a tough task, but I know that as we love those around us, we can become more like our Savior and Redeemer.

Eu amo voces!
