Season 2 Episode 1: Welcome to Spokane

I can't believe I'm actually in the field now! Spokane is pretty awesome, my mission president and his wife are absolutely amazing, and so is my trainer, Elder Smith. Speaking English all the time now is kind of weird, mas, tudo bem. We play basketball every morning with the other Elders in our area, so I still get a chance to ball out, don't worry. Also, a member fed us Moose last night, so my weird eating adventures have only just begun. The flight here was less than 2 hours, so much better than the 30 hours of flying that I was originally planning on doing.

My very first day here we already started to see miracles. I didn't have a bike yet, so my companion decided to try somewhere else to tract. The second door that we knocked on ended up being a lady whose son was recently baptized, and we're meeting with her again in a few days. Elder Smith and I have already seen great things happen by following the spirit and opening our mouths, something I still need to work on. One day I told a lady I loved her house right after she said she didn't live there, so we laughed about that one for a while.

The members and missionaries here are awesome, I have been taken care of very well, don't worry mom. Being a missionary is tiring but so worth it to see people's faces light up talking to us. It's been kind of crazy and I don't usually have my camera on me, so I'll try and start taking pictures of everything in the future. It truly is an honor to serve the Lord, I can't wait to see what the future holds. T'chau for now!
